      Food Pantry
      The Food Pantry needs brown paper grocery sacks. You may put them in the Hungry Cart along with your food donations. Don’t forget to fill the Hungry Cart with food for the needy! All your donations are appreciated and needed! Cash donations can be given in the office. Thanks for supporting the DMARC Food Pantry!

      LONGER-RANGE PLANNING
      Grace Church Council and Council On Ministries will meet together on Monday, Sept. 20, for discussion and coordination of events for the coming season.  Church Council will begin at 6:00 p.m. with business items and reports.  Council On Ministries will have an extended meeting time from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to talk about programs and special events projected for this fall and early into 2011.  Each group is asked to bring information about events they are planning or sponsoring.  NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE IN DATE FOR COUNCIL ON MINISTRIES, WHICH HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, SEPT. 23.

      INGATHERING 2010
      We are still in need of the following items for our health kits and school kits for Ingathering 2010.  Please put any items purchased in the coat room in the boxes marked "Ingathering."  Thank you for your support for this important mission project!

      Holy Land Tour
      Iowans will travel together to lands of our Christian Heritage in 2011 on trips led by our Iowa Bishop, Julius C. Trimble. 

        The Holy Land pilgrimage will include a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, a visit to Nazareth, Capernaum and the Mount of the Beatitudes; in Bethlehem, the Church of the Nativity, and in Jerusalem the Garden of Gethsemane, Upper Room, Garden Tomb, and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Stops on the Wesley Heritage trip will include Epworth, the village where John and Charles Wesley were born; London, including John Wesley's home, City Road Chapel and Aldersgate Street, and Bristol for a visit to John Wesley's "New Room" chapel and the home of Charles Wesley. You are invited to grow your faith, see the world, build bonds of community, and get to know Bishop Trimble and his wife, Racelder Grandberry-Trimble, on a faith-based trip together.
