Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF
For 60 years, children across the United States have collected change during the month of Octo- ber as a part of the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF program. Once again the children of Grace will be participating in this fun fundraiser that gives children the opportunity to help other children. On Sunday, October 23, the children and youth Sunday School classes will visit the adult classes with their banks. There will also be a special mis- sion offering during worship in October. Please help support this program by donating some of your change to UNICEF.
2nd Grade Three Simple Rules
This fall, the 2nd grade class led by Virginia Peterson and Donna Reams is studying about John Wesley and the “Three Simple Rules” by which he lived. The class has decided to “Do Good” for the community by collecting winter clothing for all ages. Sweaters, jackets, caps and mittens are especially needed. If you would like to help sup- port the class in their efforts, please drop your items off in the boxes on the 2nd floor of the Edu- cation Wing.
Resources available at IRMS
Looking for religious or theological resources on a small budget? Grace has a subscription to Iowa Religious Media Services (IRMS), a lending library with more than 8,700 resources in the form of books, DVDs, videos, audio recordings, student books, leader’s guides and much more. Because we are a member, there is no fee to rent items. An online catalog is available at www.irms.org or call 277-2920 with questions.
Contact Coreen Witke with questions about Grace’s membership.
Ink cartridge recycling
One person’s trash can help Grace earn money. Drop off used ink car- tridges from your home printer in the Cartridge Recycling Center box in the entryway and we will turn them into cash for our Christian Education programs.
Sunday School Offerings
The Christian Education Committee has designated the monthly Sunday School Offerings to the fol- lowing areas or organizations. We encourage all who attend Sunday school to get in the habit of giving by bringing an offering each week to sup- port these programs that are vital to our church and our community.

Grace Club Mission Project
Grace Club is off to a great start with lots of out- door activities, ping pong tournaments, working with Legos, making jewelry or paper airplanes and of course the occasional break for snacks. This month we begin working on our Mission Project for the Omaha Native American Tribe. As we learn about this group, we will be finding way to support their community with useful and meaningful gifts. We can always use donations of Sam’s Club, WalMart or Hobby Lobby gift cards.
