Super Wednesday is fortunate to have 3 Drake students working with us this semester through the Work Study Program. They are: Jennifer Carrera, Alyssa Lahr and Tyler VonEhwegen. J

HOURS OF OPERATION: Super Wednesday begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Staff supervision is not available until 3:30 p.m. We thank parents and daycare providers for making sure children do not arrive early on early-out days.

SNOW DAYS: If the Des Moines Public Schools cancels
classes or dismisses early due bad weather, Super Wednesday
and Grace Church activities will also be cancelled.

SUPER WEDNESDAY SERVICE PROJECT…………………………………
We will continue to gather items this semester for Lutheran Services, an organization that aids refugee families in setting up their homes as they settle in the U.S. Items we will be gathering this semester are: kitchen towels, dish cloths and hot pad holders. Items can be brought anytime and left in the “laundry” collection basket by the registration table. Thank you!

Volunteers are Welcome! Please consider attending 1 or more sessions with your child(ren) this semester. You will enjoy a fun-filled quality afternoon building memories and relationships. Grace Church follows Safe Sanctuary Policies. All volunteers need to fill out background check paperwork. To volunteer, see Program Director, Pam Taylor.

The following items are needed on an on-going basis this semester: glue sticks, juice (apple, grape, orange), fresh fruits and vegetables (see director for list), Crayola air dry clay, eyeglass cases, gloves (do not need to have a match) and items for the birthday treasure chest.

NOTE TO 5TH GRADERS: Those graduating from 5th grade this semester are invited to attend Grace Club next fall. Grace Club is a weekly program that meets on Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 p.m. for youth in grades 6, 7 & 8 and meets in Fellowship Hall. All 5th grade Super Wednesday participants will be invited to visit Grace Club once this semester in April. Grace Club director is Minister of Christian Education, Kathye Harrington-Taber, 255-23131, extension 230.
