Capital City Pride's 46th PrideFest will take place from June 6–8, 2025, in Des Moines' Historic East Village.
No. Grace will not hold our regular Sunday service on June 8. We’ll be worshiping downtown at the Ecumenical Pride Service instead. For those unable to attend in person, we’ll livestream the service in the Grace sanctuary at 10:00 AM.
The parade kicks off at 12:00 PM and travels through the East Village. We’ll head straight from the worship service to the lineup at Capitol Lot 16 (14th & Des Moines St).
Yes! Grace UMC offers a bus ride to the parade on Sunday, June 8.
Departure: 9:00 AM from Grace UMC.
Seats Available: 12 (first come, first served).
Return: After the parade concludes.
You don’t have to ride the bus to join us, everyone is welcome to walk with Grace!
Let’s make this a powerful showing of love, unity, and pride. Wear your rainbows, bring your joy, and help us make this year’s Pride Parade unforgettable!
No! Capital City Pride welcomes all friends of the LGBTQ+ community to join us for any of our events throughout the year!
Capital City Pride works closely with a variety of partners to prioritize the safety of all PrideFest attendees. In light of the current social and political climate, security has been further strengthened for this year’s event.
You’ll see a visible presence of both marked and unmarked hired security, as well as local law enforcement throughout the weekend.
Everyone is encouraged to stay aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or unattended packages to security personnel.
If you see something, say something. Together, we help keep PrideFest safe, welcoming, and joyful for all.
Yes! In addition to the many restaurants and bars in the area, a food truck area will be in the parking lot at the corner of E. 4th and Locust.
